    Aloha Woo, Loli and everyone,

It's chilly but bright this morning.

Loli, I hope you're fence stays up OK. :blue thumb: Two of our posts are very wobbly and I've got a man coming round tomorrow to look at them.

I had our tree surgeon in yesterday to give us a price for shaping the willow and doing a number of other things around the garden. After he picked me up from the floor I agreed to the price :hate-shocked:.

Every five years our willow needs some drastic lopping done and, for those of you that came to the Open Day last year and will be coming this year, there will be a big difference.

    Last time:-

    Before
    P1020989.JPG

    After
    P1030006.JPG

    P1030007.JPG

It will be lopped even more this year!

The big conifers that were towering above (and through) the conifer hedge in the front will be taken down to the heigth of the hedge and some other tidying up will be done.

Plumber coming soon  so have to go.

    Have a great day

    Aloha!

        Aloha everyone,

Shiney amazing what a tree surgeon can do, the difference is incredible. Does he get rid of all the bits he has lopped off or do you have to burn it up?

Loli that is a bit cheeky about going halves on that fence of theirs especially as you say the tenants children are kicking it to pieces.

Steve. I hope you are feeling even better today.

WOO I hope all is well with you and the family or at least no worse than it was with Mrs W.

I didn't sign in yesterday as I was feeling too poorly with cold. Sweating one minute and freezing the next. How is your cold now.
Have a good day all and stay safe, God bless.

        Aloha!:wub2:

          Morning everyone,

We got some snow overnight, a dusting really but its cold and blustery here, supposed to snow off and on all weekend.

I'm off at 9 this morning for my manicure, and then doing some grocery shopping, was supposed to head back down to Toronto but that's now on Monday instead.

Took Natalie to Walmart last night, and when we were coming out and approaching the truck, I saw a kid push his cart towards the truck, just gave it a good push and let go....needless to say I let out one heck of a holler(and a few other words), and basically ripped him a new one, told him he needs to watch out and respect other peoples property, but since he's still driving mommy and daddy's car that's a hard concept for him to understand, I snapped a pic of the(his) licence plate and told him if I find any scratches what so ever on my truck, that my insurance will be in touch with his parents. He proceeded to tell me that "its just a truck", so I pointed out again that the "just a truck" as he called it, is worth over 80 thousand dollars and only a few months old, and again if a find any scratches that we'll be in touch...thought the kid was going to puke, but he did apologize and left....wonder if he mentioned anything to his parents when he got home (lol).

That's my rant for the day..........off to get dressed and make some toast....so enjoy your day everyone.

            Aft' noon all,

@Lolimac & @moyra , hope you feel better soon, I feel quite guilty for spreading my germs around the forum. I still have a chesty cough, and snotty nose.

@Penny in Ontario whoooo snow! Can you send some my way please :sofa:

@shiney , that sure is some hair cut on the willow.

Have a great rest of the day, waves to all.

Moyra, he takes it all away. It's not good for burning in fires and too much even for my bonfire.

Steve, it grows back very quickly.

Wish you all a lot better. :grphg:

@Lolim - do check your deeds to see who is responsible for the boundary fencing. If the responsibility is the neighbour, then you need to keep the landlord informed (just don't mention the children kicking/climbing it - it will be more productive if he assumes it is *normal* wear and tear ;) ) However, if the deeds dictate it is his responsibility, then it matters not how it comes about: it is HIS responsibility!

@Penny in Ontario Wow! Snow!!!!!!! How wonderful!!! (well, it really is if you don't have to endure it! :heehee: )

Get well vibes to Moyra and Steve :grphg:

Shy Knee: I look forward to seeing the changes "in the flesh" at some point :grphg:

Manic day here today. I had a day filled with a variety of appointments. Then the seed parcel was back on track and I worried that I would miss it (which would have been a real bummer, because I have plans for next week!)
Then, oh joy!, it arrived t'wix appointments and I was able to shuffle and snaffle in equal measure and get the parcel out and on its merry way once again!

Then, there was a hold up on Mr "M"'s shift - :wallbanging: - which may have resulted in "burnt offerings" (had I not employed the old fashioned "foiled again" technique :dbgrtmb: ) and ...

... all's well which ends well :blue thumb:

Got a few butterflies for tomorrow, but, I know I will be fine (just so long as no one sets me a challenge I haven't predicted :hate-shocked: )

On a banner note: looks like next week will be ... (drum roll, please) ... Visit my lads week!!!!!! :hapydancsmil::hapydancsmil: Just got to find a B&B which will accept me - warts an' all :heehee:

              Life is good:

              Miles of smiles
              xx M xx

You can see the trees as well! ;) :heehee:

Don't worry about tomorrow. It'll be a doddle. Act confident (as you always do :)) and you can get away with anything :blue thumb:

I like this version - the dog is cute

"M"...The property belongs to the people next door to it who i know well and the fence definitely belongs to them....i put my point of view politely across and she understands where i'm coming from and i think reading between the lines she's not over enthused about her tenants either:whistle:

                  Whilst we're talking about tomorrow:-

I know I'm sad but I've still got this LP - and it's 53 years old!!!

See whether you can follow the words and understand them :heehee:

                    Aloha everyone,

I hope you are all feeling better this morning. :blue thumb:

Our internet went down at 4.30 this morning and, after a lot of pushing, BT admitted that they had a problem. I checked their status line at 9.30 and it said everything was OK but when I told them that I knew that some towns in the area had not had internet for 10 days they said they would look into it. They came back to tell me that most of their internet customers in the south of England were having problems. I told them that it seemd a good way to lose all their customers in the south of the country. Ten minutes later it came back again. :)

Loli, it's quite a clever song but not easy to follow at first. I know a lot of weird songs :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

                    Have a good day

                    Aloha!
