Got some more free rice today

      ricetoday.jpg

Shame that today's the last day the vouchers are valid. I'll have to find some more free stuff now, like using the 45p vouchers for Best of Both bread in Waitrose Mag/Leaflet as they're non-store specific so can be used anywhere to buy that bread when reduced, so if it's reduced to 45p it'll be free and if reduced to <45p it's free bread + money off the shop.

Found some 3 packs of onions reduced to 25p today so will claim the 20p Quidco cashback against each of our accounts getting them down to 5p for each pack of 3 onions https://www.quidco.com/clicksnap/details/1151/onions-brown-3pk/?ref=/clicksnap/offers/all/ . Also got a £3 bouquet of Alstroemeria reduced to 30p to give to Mrs Scrungee.

      Another typical day's shopping.

I won't - I'm too scared after seeing what soup is being made from :help:

You maybe shouldn't visit this thread for a while, you are too much of a lady for this stuff; actually, I am too much of a gentleman?

Anchor cheese 350g buy 2 for £5 at Tesco. Snip and print the £1 off Anchor cheese vouchers that were in the last Tesco mag (but are still in date) from the online version on Tescos website, plus use a £3 off £12's worth or more of dairy products coupon from their current mag.

            6 x 350g = 2.1Kg for £6 (3 x £5, less 6 x £1, less £3) = £2.86/Kg

N.B Last day for offer 26th November! http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=277553416

Must admit that I got 300 grams of cheddar for just under a fiver at the market on Saturday! It was outstanding! Smooth but got the top of your mouth throbbing (if that makes sense), and had that old fashioned hard texture (as opposed to the modern processed texture). Deffo not for sandwiches!

Anyway, as I've not been into Sainsburys since Nectar sent me the last lot of money off vouchers they've just sent me a load more - £8 off if I spend at least £30. So after using my first one yesterday my branded items would have been £3.13 elsewhere, so next week I'll have £11.13 off.
Once the vouchers are gone I'll go back to Lidl and Waitrose. Then after five or six weeks Nectar send me another batch of money off vouchers!

That offer at Tescos has been extended to 10th Dec. The £3 off £12's worth of Dairy vouchers are right at the back of their Xmas mag

              anchor mag1.jpg anchor mag2.jpg

And 5 x £1 off vouchers to print out here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/149151768/anchor cheese MOCs x5.pdf

So that's £7 off a £12 shop (4 packs of Anchor cheese that's on special offer + another £2's worth of dairy stuff) or £9 off a £15 shop consisting of 6 packs of cheese.

Our fridge is now groaning under the weight of £2/Kg cheese and we're going to have to start freezing it.

Sadly the £1 off vouchers (that I posted a link to above) are now expired, but not before we acquired a 'cheese mountain'

In the last week we found £1 off three Danio yoghurts vouchers and as Tesco have them on special offer @ 3 for £1 that made them free. So buying 4 packs of Anchor cheese @ 2 x two for £5 with 6 Danio yogurts for £2 achieved the £12 'dairy' requirement enabling use of 4 x £1 Anchor vouchers, £3 off dairy voucher, £2 off cheese and 2 x £1 off Danio vouchers, so a grand total of £11 off £12, making those 305g packs of cheese only 25p each!

Who else took advantage of this wonderful opportunity?

The longest use by date is 12th Feb 2014, so only about 2 months left and although being non-meat (other than fish) eaters who use loads of cheese I seriously doubt if we can get through one 305g pack a day to use them all up by then, so some will have to be frozen and, although most cheeses are OK on defrosting, grating guarantees they will OK.

We've also enjoyed loads of cheap yoghurts and stocked up cream cheese to use for making fish (all those reduced 50p packs of frozen kippers we got a while ago + all the mackerel I've caught & frozen) pâté.

I have some prepacked cheese {Pilgrims Choice 550grm 3 for the price of two}that we bought two saturdays ago and the date on them is Best Before 19th/02/14 so unless you have a big freezer Scrungee you are going to be eating cheese forever more as these packs of prepacked stuff don't have a long shelf life:biggrin:

Have you and your family got good Cholesterol levels Scungee because if we had that much cheese to get through our levels would be through the roof, and our waistlines with it:sofa:
