      All done and I am pleased to say that was a doddle. P1030753.JPG The "tents" kept the moisture in and I didn't have to top up at all. They look quite dark so that's good too. I will put fresh foil and some string around them so that they will be easy to lift in and out on Christmas Day.

                  Now, the difficult question. These are for friends but they are NOT gifts. I have so much trouble in charging a realistic price for them. Judging by the ingredients, Harrods would charge about £45 for this type of luxury pudding. I can't charge for my time as I love to do it - all I want to do is cover my costs but I can't be into calculating what 8.5 hours of my oven's electricity costs - let alone the rest of the ingredients. I will always shop for fruit on offer if I can find it( missed Asda's by one day) but I won't buy inferior quality at the expense of spoiling the pud. I have had to raise the price this year and have charged them £8.50 each. We'll see if the empty bowls are returned in the New Year.

                      For a homemade Christmas pud I reckon they are getting a good deal at that price Jenny and at least they know who made it.

                        The bonus is having all the crusts from a home baked frenchstyle white loaf as I only use the middle for the breadcrumbs.
