    Hello chums.

As one or two of you are aware, I've been planning to move. So, the house is sold and I've had an offer accepted on a place we like. Sounds ok doesn't it. Well, the big downside is that the garden is very small at around 30' x 30':ouch1: A while ago we put in an offer on a house which would have been perfect for us. It needed a lot of work doing but would have been fab when 'done up' and it had a very good sized garden, but it got bought from under us as at the time we hadn't sold. Ah well...
As I can't imagine not growing veg, I thought I'd check out the availability of allotments in the area. I know that there's a site around five minutes walk away from the new house, but was quite surprised to find that (according to the council website) they have ONE plot available. Spooky eh? Because the owner (from whom we are buying) has to wait until next April to move in (they are having a bungalow built), it looks like we will be homeless for a few months, so will probably rent. I doubt that the 'chain' will want to wait until April, so....

This does of course mean that I will be 'off air' for some time:sad: I anticipate that the 'move' will take place in around eight weeks or so, but rest assured, at some stage I will be back! I will of course still be around in the meantime:blue thumb:

    Cheers...Freddy

I'm sure everything will work out well for you. :blue thumb:

We look forward to seeing you soon and seeing what you do with your garden and allottment. I'm sure the council will let you have the allotment so that you can prepare it for the spring planting.

Good luck with the move :)

Hope it all goes smoothly for you my friend :)

Are you going far? Is a camper van a temporary option?

Talk to Scrungee, he knows how to log on from anywhere, even the dark side of the moon

I'm sure too, but it seems a long way off...

Thanks, although I'm already 'stressed out'

Not far, maybe three miles away

Funny you should say that, we're considering using our 'tourer', but there's the problem of frozen water. We also have two dogs to consider, so...

Good luck with your plans Freddy, we'll miss having you around but next spring isn't that far off. Meanwhile you still have eight weeks to put up with us! :heehee:

                    Hiya Loli.

If I can secure it, all well and good. Only thing is I'm likely to be a bit busy over the next couple of months, so it might be next spring before I can make a proper start on it, but that's ok:blue thumb:

Maybe that house and all the renovation work that would have been required and the "forest" that went with it...:gaah:wasn't meant to be Freddy.
That allotment plot sounds :dbgrtmb: and it will only be a few months before your new chapter in life begins.
