    A few more to add;

    Unknown Hebe has started to bloom again. It seems to like a few months rest in the summer, but will bloom all through the winter..................

          A few bits and pieces which have survived some humdingers of frost recently. Expect all will drop their leaves by the end of the week but nice for the garden to go out in a blaze Picture 055.jpg Picture 052.jpg Picture 048.jpg Picture 056.jpg Picture 049.jpg

            Lovely pics Silu. :dbgrtmb: I've found Berberis will struggle on against the weather. It's a plant that is often forgotten about but always looks good.

              Seems a shame to fetch these out while still flowering so well.

                      I love em! They took a while to get going this year due to the cold spring, now it's rampant. I'm trying to over-winter one plant in the heated greenhouse and hope to take cuttings next spring.

                        I've commented on this chap before, but I've gotta repeat it, sorry.

                        Nice flowers
                        Nice foliage
                        But together? No thanks.

                        Maybe I'm being unkind, does it look better in the flesh @JWK?

                        I like garish things :) It has been a PITA to grow so far, the stems are very delicate, it's very late flowering, straggly and is a slug target. Next year I'll put it in a container and try some tlc.

                        I've just googled it and I really like it....love the foliage. I think it would look smashing in a container. There's another plant for my growing list! :dbgrtmb:

                          So the fact that I don't like the combination of garish flowers and variegated foliage will be the least of my worries? :heehee:

                            With the weather throwing all sorts of nasties at the island the roses are still battling on!
