Here's a couple of photos of the bird food mix that I put out for our feathered friends and they love it!! :blue thumb:, quite literally nothing gets left, I put some on the bird tables and some in a ground hopper every morning and its usually gone before dinner time

I use a good general mix to start with (cheap ones tend to contain a lot of hard corn etc that gets left), to that I add suet pellets, sultanas, mealworms, crushed peanuts, whole peanuts (these are left out in the spring as they could choke young birds) and cake/bread crumb that my dad gets me from a friend of his, basically stuff that has been swept up or cleaned out of a bakery. It also makes a great mixture for my own fat balls :dbgrtmb:

      Lucky birds!
We put lose feed out on the bird tables but it seems to attract the 2 wood pigeons that seem to Hoover everything up and the others don't get a look in.
The feeders don't seem to empty.

Looks like a really good mix.....I add porridge oats to mine. The birds here won't eat the cheaper mixes either. :blue thumb:

The birds we're getting now and feeding on this are for the majority starlings and sparrows, but we also get wood pigeons, feral pigeons (but thankfully not too many ), magpies, jackdaws, blackbirds, dunnocks, robins, blue tits and great tits regularly and occasional chaffinches and wrens :)............also seen wood mice looking for any left overs, even in daylight :snork:

I get mostly goldfinches. I'm jealous of your jackdaws! I'd love to see some of those in my garden. I haven't seen any house sparrows yet. They seem to be getting more scarce.

Our resident house sparrow flock numbers 20-30+ daily and at times there are more :)
