His tummy is settled now, thankfully! It was the beef allergy, so now I keep him on food /treats that don't have beef or lamb, and I've kept him off cheese as well, just in case :) his biting is getting better, but he has his moments! It's easy for me to forget he's not 4 months old yet

I'm glad to hear things have improved especially for his tummy, he'll be a lot happier now. You'll probably find he'll grow out of the biting, it's usually a puppy thing. :)

Hi Ellen we finished our puppy training in the same week ! Molly passed the good citizens dog scheme on Tuesday . Mrs H was very nervous taking an exam after all these years . We are going to take her on the second course in February , then that's all the training we think we need.
Re. the biting , Molly is a bit nippy as well , it is getting better she is just coming up to 5 months now. We had a good talk on this with the trainer two months ago . I'll post her pointers on here tomorrow when I have more time , you may already know them .

Thanks @HarryS :) maybe different trainers have different ideas too?

I think maybe the courses are on specific weeks, with Molly finishing too (well done Molly! :) ) and other dogs online passing bronze & silver. I intend on taking Reggie to the bronze one but after that, we'll see. I'm not going to show him or put him into any competitions etc I just want a well-trained dog ;)

Same here Ellen we will do the bronze training , so we can aim for an obedient dog - for most of the time . Dogs do have selective hearing , you can whisper their name and they will bound over tail wagging. Next time you shout their name , they give you a "don't bother me now , I am doing something very important !" look , and then totally ignore you :dbgrtmb:
Re the nipping , at the moment Molly is only mouthing she is teething now so her little mouth must be sore. if they do get a little excited and aggressive the trainer showed us
1- Stand up fold you arms , turn you back on them and go and look out of the window for a while.
              or
2 - Pick them up , don't shout at them , and put them in the kitchen or hallway etc by themselves for one minute , any longer and they forget why they are there.:doggieshmooze:
Both these methods have worked very well . Also plenty toys , especially the ball on a rope or tied piece of rope , they really love playing tug and fetch with them !
Evie , youngest grand daughter and Molly , 5 months ,getting ready for bed at last weeks sleepover.
