            Thanks for sharing Stephen:blue thumb:. Where were the photos taken?

            I can attest to the relative toughness of some of those plants, especially the Salvia elegans and the Desfontiana, both of which are in bloom here.

            Indeed, though up until now it's been helped by the relatively soft cold spells we've been having. For sure Italy have had it worse than us. I suspect all these flowers will be a long distant memory, by the time mid December approaches.
