    Found bottle of sloe gin which was made in 2004, will it be safe to get drunk drink it? The seal looks good but there is a bit of sediment, any thoughts

    Yep, bet it'll be lovely. Try to pour it off the sediment into another bottle if you can :)

      Pour the sediment into a tall, narrow container, let it settle some more and you might get another small glass out of it.

            Alternatively, if drunk in single sesh you probably wont be worried about the sediment by the time you get to it.

              Filter the sediment with my teeth when drunk :biggrin:, i'm tea total so it a bit at a time

                Before anybody suggests it, I've never found coffee filter papers very successful for filtering sediment from syrupy liqueurs as they clog almost immediately. The re-usuable plastic mesh ones are slightly better (but not as good as teeth).
