    Agreed, GA. I wasn't just being politely complimentary about your recent pics, Ziggy, they really are good so don't bother with another camera. You were probably a stop out on the last ones but it lent atmosphere to the shots!!:thumbsup::snork:

            Jenny, you may see Wigeon in the summer possibly but they breed in Northern Europe (but that could be Scotland) and come here mainly for the Winter but as they can be seen all year round they could be classed as resident. Estuaries, coastal lagoons and bays with mudflats are a great place to seen them. The males make the loud whistling call.

                This handsome fellow is back, permanently, until late spring/early summer.

                His brother hasn't arrived back yet and his wives are still in their autumn home.

                This is just outside the kitchen window where he come for a drink.

                      My Nuthatch is back now I have finally put the peanuts out , wont share the feeder with no one I can stand about 10 feetaway so maybe the same one as he is not bothered but I need my camera at the ready

                        The birds get through about 16kg of seed in six weeks. I only put the seed in seed feeders and don't spread any on the ground. Earlier on in the year he had eleven females. Not seen any back here yet.


                        He thinks he's exotic :blue thumb: he struts around very proudly :heehee:

                        I only took some quick shots through the kitchen window and through the plants on the windowsill. That's why they're slightly blurred.
