                It was! Gramps was like me - couldn't sleep in a cold room/bed.
                My Dad has it now, although he doesn't use it.

                          Nah, @longk used the bed warmer as a potty; then, JO's Italian matey boy used the bed warmer/potty to roast his chestnuts in!

                          Either way, a glug of brandy and a sprig of fennel added ... made it a Chrimbo treat; by all accounts ;)
