Ours is a Hotpoint, which may be sold as Ariston in your part of the world (certainly, in Australia that is their brand name) - not a fan of any of their stuff to be honest, but they were the only company that made a fridge in the size we needed.

I normally use a metal skewer, but as I had the steamer out to clean some of the staining up I thought I would use that instead.

I can only see one of each image on your post - are you seeing double for both?

Current fridge/freezer is a Becken ???? one in shed is an LG.

You can only see one because I delete the other before I post ...

Ah, are you using a touchpad mouse on a laptop? I sometimes find that my touchpad is a bit 'trigger happy' and I end up with a couple of smilies

No, FC, it's a wireless with a desktop. Must say it is a 'new' wireless so maybe I am a bit 'trigger happy' with it ... :dunno: (only one this time ...)

You should be able to de-tune it to suit your "action".

Control Panel : Mouse then on the [Buttons] tab you should be able to set the double-click speed. Make that fast enough so that your normal click-click isn't seen as a double click. You can practice on the little icon (min's a folder) and if you double-click it changes open/close icon, if you single click it doesn't change, so you can set the double-click setting to the point where what you consider to be two single click's is not interpreted as a double click, but also so that your "slowest" double click isn't seen as a pair of single clicks.

But ... if you are getting two icons from what is clearly a single mouse click then it might be "bounce" in the hardware, in which case I reckon you'll need to get it replaced.

Usually the batteries in the mouse are at 1.35v and not 1.5, along side Kristens post

T'other half was in computing at a high level for a major company for over 20 years in the UK ... somehow I don't think he would supply me with a 'duff' mouse .. ;)

That is what I thought too, until after replacing and updating everything imaginable :-)

Even the best quality ones can be duff "out of the box". Electronics tends to fail immediately, and after several years, rarely inbetween, so you might have a "failed immediately" faulty one.

Ordered my Steam mop today to be picked up tomorrow using tesco Click & Collect. I'll let you all know how we get on with it :blue thumb:

Can't see why you can't use them on the patio Harry. We have the same stone flooring inside and out so I hope to put this into practice. Dunno about different mop grades - there is a tremendous choice of these things, some come with spare mop heads other's don't. I'll let you know what I get with mine - but it's not a B&D I'm getting, it's a Bissell so it's bound to be different from what you can get via your employee discount.

Well mine arrived today , it seems to be a very nice bit of kit . Its an upright steam generator mop and the steamer can unclip to use by hand with various tools . I cleaned the tiled kitchen floor , with the carpet attachment on :wallbanging: it seemed to work fine . One day I will read the instructions first ! I'll have a good play with it this weekend .
I'll try it on the patio when we have a nice dry day and Mrs H is out .

I've been using my new one today. It's done a great job of cleaning our granite floor. Most of the floor looks like new again. There were some heavy stains around the sink/hob/cooking areas and most of it has come off. I reckon a couple more goes will clean that area too.

I had to stop as both mop heads got too grimey:

The model I got has a detachable hand held steamer which I used in our bathroom, it's done a good job in there too, although it doesn't completely remove mould marks from grouting.

Finally I used it to remove some PVC tape on out patio door, we had tried all sorts to remove it in the past, a bit of gentle steaming and its gone.

This is a gadget that will get lots of use.

Aye, they are handy - had mine pressed into service again today, cleaning the bathroom and getting shot of some mould that had appeared on a window frame in the front bedroom, before going on to its party trick doing windows, mirrors and shower screen - they are fantastic at giving a crystal clear finish on glass
