Lovely sparkly frosty start to the day and beautiful sunshine. Thermometer hasn't reached 5 degrees yet but it feels much warmer than that.

An increasingly grey day with a gentle breeze and a temperature of 45f.

Foggy all day and about 3c. Feels like the damp from the marshes and the sea have got right into me old bones. Bleugh.

Same here GG, the fog hung around all day here too.
The sort of day where, so long as you kept working and moving about you were warm, but as soon as you stopped, you felt chilly within seconds.

@redstar ...you have such stunning views from both your home and office and it reminds me of when I lived in Granby, Connecticut in the mid 50s ... thank you for sharing and bringing back old memories.

We were 16,1c today but there was a very sharp and gusty wind whirling around the orchards ... currently it is 15,5c and calm but we have come indoors (from the outdoor living room from where we can see the garden) and have the log fire lit ready for our dinner.

                Hmmmmm...

[fat controller sits pondering whether redstar would like a lodger......]

Foggy start here this morning, but cleared as the morning went on; however, it remained grey and chilly all day. Temperature this evening has dropped fairly rapidly (made the mistake of wandering out to the outhouse to get something out of the freezer with now't on my feet about half an hour ago!), and we have more fog forecast for the morning.

Thanks, I do like getting snow. Well I like the snow around here anyway. Not sure I'd like it as much in a city. In the country the open spaces and the snow draping on trees outlining them in white lace is just beautiful. Husband has talked about moving south when we get older, but I think I cannot ever not live in a place where there is not snow yearly. So he might have to go alone then.

I lived in Huntsville, Alabama for 14 years and we had snow yearly. Just had an e-mail from my friends of 50 years, now living in southern Tennessee and they have snow, ice and all sorts on their 78 acres at the moment ... :hate-shocked: As you know, t'other half was brought up in Cincinnati and he misses the snow. Apparently we have it up north here in Portugal at the moment but mild here in the south. At 7.15pm we are 16c ... were 14c when we left the house at 6.35am this morning so there has not been much fluctuation in the day ... log fire going though ... :yahoo:
