Hi all .. i have a lot of black coloured bugs out side on my white window frame .. they are about the size of the head of a match stick .. but probably a little smaller .. most just sit about on the frame .. they move so slowely that you would have to watch them for ages to notice any movement .. a few of them hang by silky threads .. ive never seen these before and wondered if any of you guys and gals can help .. they are more bulbous one end than the other .. sort of taper off if you see what i mean .. ive been picking them off all week but the next day they are back in numbers .. thanks for any help .. Michael

Do you still get Pollen Beetles around at this time of year? (anybody who grows Sweet Peas should be familiar with them) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meligethes_aeneus

I'm assuming they've got tangled in some spider's web.

Do you live in the countryside and is there any chicken farmers near by, as some times there are black bugs in chicken poo, if they are hauling the poo and tipping it out side and when it rains the bugs will look for somewhere to go where it's dry, just a thought i may be wrong

They sounded too small for litter beetles (Alphitobius diaperinus) but if it is those be careful with them .......
