I'm kind of getting used to it now Fern, it's been blowing here now for the best part of two months but it wears you down, especially the noise.

:grphg: Sheal - hope it ceases soon

Funny thing - I sort of miss those howling gales that were a regular feature of life back in Scotland, as they just don't happen the same down here.

There was something nice about lying in bed, hearing the rain lashing at the windows and the wind howling round the house. Down here, we just get things a bit blowy and then trees start keeling over.

Sounds a bit silly to 'miss' poor weather, but I suppose thats human nature for you

The howling would drive me mad I think. Even in winter I quite like the windows open now and again as I hate a stuffy atmosphere. I'd have to keep them shut. Hopefully you will get a break from the racket soon. Too much of any kind of weather can be tiresome after a while.

FC.....I was going to offer you a swap, but nahhh I think I'll stay where I am. :)

Fern.....You're right about the howling, I live in one of the windiest parts of the island, add to that the overhead cables that pass over my garden which the wind howls through. I retreat to my bedroom some evenings, it's quieter there. :)
