    I did 9 months on the Isle of Lewis on the Atlantic side at a place called Aird Uige dismantling an Early Warning Radar Station. The nearest "port of call" was Stornoway and we'd naively go in there on a Saturday for a drink. The standard was a Whiskey and Chaser and they didn't appear to swallow when drinking and the Bar Maid [lovely lasses] would refill without being asked, nobody seemed to talk much but there was some serious drinking going on.
    There'd be a Kaylee on at the Town Hall on a Saturday with a Pop Band with an Accordian and Pipes which would usually end up with a fight just like something out of a John Wayne Movie.......I kid you not!!!. Us rif raf would usually manage to stay out of the way while the fighting was going on around us [being Gentlmen]:sofa:, although one time we did and that was my fault [but that's another story:heehee:]. Still, the Local Girls were friendly you just had to avoid their 8' tall Brothers who didn't seem to approve.:hate-shocked: They were a hard living, hard drinking lot then and I often wonder if it's still the same. I'd go back........but I might meet one of the Brothers who would still seem to be 8' tall.

        Embarrassingly, I've also done the dancing in y-fronts lark. Was totally lashed up in a divey old pub in Old Street, a mate dared me (can't remember why) so I did the old tarty stripper act on a table top down to the y-fronts. Was funny at the time, but I'm rather shy so everyone was quite shocked. Never lived it down... ;)

                Jenny, you posted on the Listen to thread elsewhere and I saw it, ever since I've been using it as a winter keep fit video. Can now do all the moves, and contemplating a y-fronts only rendition at midnight. OH prolly find it dead boring though :paladin:

                        Thought I'd get ahead of my new year's resolution and try to work off some Christmas flab and am curious to see if the wii will do a new year countdown.

                        Am now sat in a nightmare of wires and wondering how to get my TV working again.
