First time for a couple of years that we've been able to have home grown tomatos with Christmas dinner. Had enough left to add to some fish soup on the 3oth.
    All gone now :cry3:

Well done for keeping them in such good condition for the Festive season Dave. Did they still taste sweet and good?

I've got one left that I salted and then tried drying, trouble is, it absorbs moisture from the air and goes soggy again. Just an experiment :)

Just used my last 3 today with home made pork pie, still had a nice taste.tried to grow some lettuce but thanks to slugs that did not work. I made a small frame with 2 glass side's of a shower and put a plastic top over inside my greenhouse ,put plenty of slug pellets down but they still got my plants,

They were beautifully sweet Jenny, far nicer than shop bought. I picked most of the bigger ones during the first week in November in the polytunnel and the small cherry type a couple of weeks earlier from my outdoor bed. We started with with 4 trays of green/orange ones as well as a few bunches hung on wires. I kept them in the greenhouse until early December then brought them into our porch which is frost free but bright and not too hot.
