Other half just went and bought 2 bottles of milk that will go off in 2 days time. We don't drink that much of it so am thinking of baking it in things to use it up more quickly. I know it's good for a few days on top of that but doubt we will get to the second bottle by the time it goes off.

Ideally things that I could freeze. I'm preparing to make a few lasagnes to freeze but any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Café latte. Custard. Angel Delight. Blancmange. Crème caramel.

Mmmmmm. It's years since I had any Angel Delight.

I don`t buy milk at all, but had to buy a bottle as my daughter was here with her partner for a few days, finished it off with a rice pudding.

If it's whole milk you can make cream cheese.

Have you got any porridge oats? Maybe milky porridge for breakfast or maybe make a sauce with some of the milk like parsley sauce or any other herbs you might have. Parsley sauce is nice with fish. :)

How about some "traditional" scones? They like nearly soured milk :dbgrtmb:
Add it to some bread mix? :dunno:
Use it up in sauces/gravies?
Make some ice cream; for longevity? :dunno:

If you put it in the freezer, but get it out before its fully frozen, you'll find that the cream freezes last, so you then separate that out, and the cream is divine. Its almost certainly pretty artery clogging, but its still divine. I guess you could have it with some tinned fruit but its divine on its own.

Just make a job lot of basic Bechemel and freeze it in "meal sized" bags. Just add cheese, leeks, Stilton, mushrooms or whatever else takes your fancy when defrosted.

Rice pudding here is made with Basmati rice, coconut milk, palm sugar (or Jagheri), cardamon pods and nutmeg!
