It has not stopped raining all day - quite hard at times. Where is all this coming from? And more worryingly, where's it all gonna go?
Take care all of you who are out and about in the morning - stay away from the water's edge. My journey to the Hospice won't take me down to the sea's edge than goodness.
I'm having trouble flagging up the BBC News on the 'Net. Hasn't worked for the last hour...:dunno:

Well, i've got the sand bags out  or is that :) any way it may be bad if the flood gate are closed for to long not leting river water out to sea but with high tides and wind there going to be closed for longer at lest sea water will not be coming in  let's just hope they open them up has quick when they can, not like last time some one forgot to open the gates and there was lots of flooding for no resson :mute:

I feel under siege with the weather at the moment. The last week or so wasn't too bad here damage wise but do keep worrying if the next storm is going to be as bad a the Storm surge because I have never seen such a devastating effect from high waves in all the time I have lived next to the sea. As I left the local woods today, the rangers were pinning up notices advising people to stay away during this period. Also we have plenty of warning via the news about the potential of being swept away by large waves so I will be very p***ed off if anyone puts another life at risk, i.e the emergency services by not heeding these warnings.

Stocking up on important vegetables like tobacco tomorrow, before I get stuck in the village.

I doubt we are going to get anything more than some rain and a wee breeze here, so we are dead lucky; hope all of you that are in affected areas stay safe :grphg:

The wind and rain has started here, building into yet another severe gale. All the promenades and accessible coastal areas around the island have been closed to the public due to the high tides expected. I don't remember this happening here before. Worse to come on Sunday apparently!

I reckon that's the first front, Sheal:dunno:, with the worst second front coming on Sunday:gaah:

It's started to rain here but there's only a slight breeze at the moment with a temperature of 45f. I reckon I'll get the bad weather in the next hour or two, Sheal, since I'm not that far from you [as the Crow flies]. Batten down the Hatches, Sheal......and Yvonne:sofa:

So far just normal winter weather but I think we are due to get the winds (again) about 3.00am.

Well, you're even closer to Sheal than me, Yvonne, so if it's starting to build up where Sheal is I reckon you should get getting indications pretty soon.:dunno::hate-shocked:
