Good job you've got that yeast as 8 galls of wine doesn't seem enough to me.

I do hope the lad at Brixham is found safe and well.

Why do people think they are immune to disaster and venture out into these dangerous conditions, sometimes I just don't understand the human race!

We here in West Cheshire didn't get the stormy night I was expecting. This morning the garden looked as though it hadn't rained at all and now they seem to be talking down the severity of the storm coming around Sunday.:snork:

My grass is a disaster - crying out for a trim, but its rarely dry for more than a couple of hours

Just been watching the news and the paper reviews. There are some truly stupid people out there :wallbanging:

The Daily Mirror has a picture of a Dad with his child who are engulfed by a huge wave whilst watching the sea.I think they were ok, but could have been yet another situation where a team of rescuers have to put their lives at risk.

Apparently, there were a lot of spaces in the queue when brains were being handed out - BBC Article

I was born and bred in Dumfries, and have seen the Nith in spate many, many times - very fast moving, and more often than not loads of broken tree branches and other debris swirling around in it.

That's spooky Scrungee - we were viewing that vid about half an hour ago. That's next to where the dog was swept away,

There was a clip on the TV News showing a Mother, Father and a newborn baby on a narrow path right on the front of the Promenade getting hit by a huge wave...........they were very lucky getting soaked but just avoiding being sucked in.... but completely moronic for putting themselves and their baby at such unnecessary risk. There appears to be a Lemming like attraction to such events where Human Beings switch off their Brains.:hate-shocked::dunno:
