Stopped by the bridge to take some snaps in between storms today.

Sorry, but I had to giggle at Water Street ;) This doesn't look too good though! Is it subsiding or getting worse?

Water Street made me smile too, should have took a pic down it, as I drove away I saw that was flooded too.

Getting Worse. Had the most horrendous rain today, sort that instantly overloads gutters.

Muchelney, village up the road is totally cut off and the rescued a woman that had been cut off for 13 days from Curry Moor.

My veg plot has water puddling on the top. Nothing so strange about that you might think, but its a raised bed :ouch1:

Thanks for the update Ziggy. I think there's more to come tonight but due to calm down on Wednesday.
In USA, the cold has spread quite far down south and it is worrying crop growers.
Are we all getting hyped up and paranoid or are our Winters getting more extreme?

Is it worse than in 2012?

The BBC were filming there (as close as they could get) at first light this morning.

I heard a report about that on the BBCNews channel this afternoon. I think it was the same woman, she was rescued with her dog.

The roads not flooded today, but it was a few days back & probably will be again soon.

Wow Zigs that is some excess of water............ I wouldn't fancy living in the bungalow in 5 or the distant houses in 3.. We are quite lucky here.. We are on the edge of the Cotswold water table here & although the ground is saturated, ponds are brimming & ditches & streams are running full & fast.. We are reasonably high up so no general flooding as such.. I hope the weather will change soon...

The place in the distance is the old water mill, it's workshops now, no one lives there:phew:

Well good in that way I suppose, but if its workshops then I presume they have tools & equipment there... Insurance & all that inconvenience if they are flooded..

Dreadful for the folk who are flooded or even homeless. Houses take ages to dry out and the contamination is a major issue.
Water Street ..that is a honest sign.

                          It's no better here either.

This Afternoon, the River Frome is somewhere here!

And all the water heads for the valleys, I'm thinking of digging a big moat around the house to keep the water from getting to near
