What Jobs are we doing in the Garden today 2014..

A bright, clear, breezy morning after a good frost. Still quite nippy when I ventured out this afternoon, so I set about sorting out and turning my two large compost bins and putting a few barrow loads on the vegetable patch. That soon got me warmed up.

 

Its raining in Gloucester, so I'm in my grow room sowing some chillis and peppers.Split a yucca plant up and managed to get 10 more plants from it. Made another 8 bottle greenhouses

I know a single specimen wouldn't have the same effect by far but i neeeed a Betula Jacquemomtii....

I'm in a bit of a quandary now because i spotted the multi stem trees which i thought may be better for my smaller garden ....it's driving me nuts now

Do make sure you explore their Options. Typically they have both 3-for-discount and BOGOFF (which might be cheaper, if you order Birch from main AND Birch for second Less choice on size though.

But I'm not sure their plain Jacquemontii is fancy enough, and it may well be better to get a named variety. Have a look at Bluebell maybe? I can't figure out what the Pros & Cons are of each variety though!

 

Pedalled home extra fast to fix in the last of the glass for the greenhouse before it got dark.

I wish I'm on light duties only this coming season. Very mild here so got my new kit out and tidied up front garden and cut down the yellow fluffy flower stems again - baby brain I forget the name of it. Will slowly work my way down the back garden now tidying up 10 mins at a time I will enjoy ordering oh about for the heavy stuff
