    Hello

This looks like a great place, lots of interesting gardens!

I’m a Norwegian living in Norway, so I’m apologizing in advance for my poor English.

I’ve been living in a house with a decent sized garden for almost 5 years now without doing anything with it except for cutting the grass and planting something random now and then. It’s time for a change – I’ve become really interested in gardening all of a sudden, and I’ve started to realize that most of the plants in my own garden is either dead, dying, or trying to kill everything else.

I have great plans, but not much skill, everything just dies and blah blah blah …but hoping to be able to turn it into a rustic-ish fantasy jungle full of weirdness kind of garden..if that makes sense (which it probably doesn’t)…There’s every kind of soil, a rhododendron, a cherry tree, an apple tree, a plum tree, a really annoying dog rose hedge as well as a couple of bushes of another type of rose, some ferns, some kind of ornamental pine tree (it’s blue) and lots and lots of lilac trees as well as different lilies and other flowers and trees and things that I have no idea what is. There’s also a small concrete pond (it’s leaking) and the whole garden is separated into several different areas. No idea which directions they all face though.

Will post some poorly taken pictures later if anyone is interested, but there’s snow here at the moment, so there’s not much to see.

Well, that was all about me.:)

                Hello and welcome:)

It makes perfect sense to me. I'm looking forward to seeing pics and reading of your plans.

Crazy gardens are my favourite kind. Mine is slowly turning into an adventure park/Nerf arena for the kids:)

                            Welcome to GC Tigerspots.

Norway is a beautiful country. Top summer temperature there is about 70F or 21C I think, depending on where you are situated. I can remember seeing masses of Lupins growing wild there, so that's one plant that will grow well in your garden. :)

I have a Norwegian friend here who is sadly going back to Norway in April due to health issues ... the heat is not good for him here ... :cry3:

I hope you enjoy the forum as there are lots of nationalities and conversations you can join in with.
