    More Nitrogen when young so they get a wiggle on earlier? And water ... and firm ground, but I don't think that is just it as if "blown" they would still be bigger

      The leaves don't tool crinkly enough to be savoy maybe they mixed the seed up and you have got a different sort ?

        Hi Richard, January King is a cross between a savoy and a white cabbage so it only has a red tinge and it's not crinkly like true savoys.

          Looks to me as though they're getting there slowly, Loli. They might not make it for January, but hell, you can always pass them off as Spring cabbages.....
