With respect Woo, you are using Windows 8 and I'm on Windows 7. :)

Scrungee and Woo, may I point out please that you are talking to a computer idiot, so you will have to talk me through this in idiots terms please. I found the 'PrntScr' button but beyond that I'm at a total loss.

Thanks Woo, I told you I was a computer idiot!

Scrungee.....No I haven't located paint, or anything else beyond the screen print button. I never need to use these things (until now) so haven't bothered with them. :)

Are we talking about screenshots of webpages? If so and you're using Google Chrome then I would recommend Awesome Screenshot. It's an app so sits at the top of the page and is very easy to use.

          Find it here

          Hi Sheal:)

Open the Start Menu, and click on All Programs, double click on Accessories, and double click on Paint.

If you only need a screenshot then just press the print screen button and paste it into the window. Takes 2 seconds.
