I've been contemplating adding some bold bright colours to certain items in my garden. For example painting a screening trellis bright red perhaps? Or purple? Or Yellow?

Anyone actually experimented with adding a crazy colour somewhere in their garden?

    Which colours work best?

My shed is bright red, and I have a section of fence that is bright pink. The former was intentional, the latter is the result of finding assorted left over paints, giving the missus and our (then) 3 year old son a brush each, and leaving them to get on with it.

Aln painted his fencing black,it looks brilliant, makes his plants stand out :blue thumb:
I noticed you have pink laterns hung in your courtyard, maybe a lick of black paint and adding coloured planters is all you need :)

Yes those pink laterns bought from Morrisons work so well in the garden! Would never have thought it would.

I was contemplating some bright red or yellow perhaps on eaves of shed...not sure yet though...

I was eyeing the Ebony fence/wood paint in B&M earlier this afternoon - I have been wanting to paint the fence at the front black for sure. Like you say it makes the plants stand out.

I always wanted to turn the shed into a Caribbean village hut by painting it with pastel colours, contrasting window trims and fretwork roof trim. Never got round to it, and the moment passes!

If only today was a dry bright day the fence at the front of the house would have received a treat :noidea:
