    @ARMANDII

    Or for just over £2000 in today's money, you could get one of these:

      Fair enough, Jags are really nice cars and one get one for myself but spares for older ones here cost more than gold.
      Funnily enough, Triumphs and spares for them are much more reasonably priced.
      One car I still want to get (although it can hardly be classified as a true classic) is one of these:

        That's just an Audi 80 isn't it? Powered by a plain old 2 litre normally aspired 8 valve straight 4, plus a body kit to make it go 'quicker'. Its missing its furry dice though.

          Twin headlights and a vinyl roof, and different rear lights mainly - oh, and the Sprint had fancy wheels

            No, no, no, it's a 2.1 turbo 4WD, lovely things with or without the dice. :)

              Yep, the one and only.
              Very similar in shape to the Lancia Delta Integrale with the exception that the Audi won't break down every few minutes.

                  It went the same way as the rest of the British motor industry did (and deservedly so for all of the industry) - belly up! What survived is now in foreign ownership, and sadly it is the better for it.

                  They certainly are considered a classic!

                  Ashes to Ashes.
                  As evidenced by the tag line "it's time to fire up the Quattro Bollie!".

                    @DIY-Dave - if you think the Reliant was bad what about the Trabant! As a proud former (co) owner of one I can confirm that they were truly crapola!
