I never have anything to put in them:

1) Good clothes/shoes get car booted.
2) Unsold clothes/shoes get weighed in @ 50p/Kg. Unsold 'good' clothes get given to charity shops.
3) Books get car booted and unsold stuff gets weighed in @ 5p/Kg.
4) Paper used to be 10p/Kg, then 5p/Kg and is now zilch, so it's only now used for allotment mulch.
5) Brick -a-brac (unsold car boot rubbish) gets disposed of @ 5p/Kg. This can include big painted pebble 'paper weights'.
6) Small 'electrical' (dead iron, microwave, etc.) gets 5p/Kg
7) And finally, and very sadly, cardboard also gets zilch. It was previously 2.5p/Kg but that wouldn't have covered our fuel costs.
8) Weighing empty baked bean cans, etc, has also no longer become weighing them in.

P.S. The bags are used for chicken poo.

@Scrungee, are you saying that you are swapping junk for cash somewhere? Where? How? How come we aren't all doing it?

Incidentally, in #2 above, the free bags are perfect for transporting the unsold clothes to the charity shop! Also, for a man of your canniness, I'm surprised Ebay doesn't get a mention in your list!

I'm tempted to raid Mrs JWK's shoe collection (puts Imelda Marcos' to shame), I'm sure she wouldn't notice a few dozen missing, @ 50p/Kg I could do well. If I never post on here again you'll know she did notice
