Although a nice surprise, I hate it when plants arrive unnanounced. I must have ordered these from T&M last year as a load of 'summer flowering bulbs' has turned up on the doorstep. Nothing in the order history so I'm none the wiser. Maybe a GW magazine offer but I'm stumped as to what I have!

Is there no list in with them? No individual labels per pack? No growing advice either?

I got distracted - they look like dahlia tubers but they might not all be the same. Will have a proper look, just wish I could remember ordering them!

I accidentally get loads of random stuff when I online order.

Click through to checkout, it offers you stuff for free, you go for it (why not), ages later when it arrives you think "hang on, when did I order four billion english bluebells and a lemon?".

        Always welcome surprises though!

When I have a choice of companies to order from I favour ones that have an online status of orders. Folk like T&M seem to despatch things months after placing the order (that's fine, it says what the approx date will be on the website at the time of order) but each parcel has no delivery note (including "The following items are to follow"), there are no emails announcing that a parcel is imminent (I might be on holiday for a week and come back to dead plants) and there is nothing online to give you a clue as to what you have had, and what is to follow (or even "when"). So I would have to put things in my diary to remind me when to check. That reminds me ... I ordered a whole load of Lily bulbs from H W Hyde for Autumn delivery and they never turned up ... I'll have to contact them to see what happened. No indication on their website as to when they shipped / or if they have shipped.

I build these sorts of online shopping sites for a living - if we sold stuff like that we'd not have any customers, beats me how big companies are so far behind the ball - must cost them a fortune in pointless support calls

Nah, I ordered the 200 summer flowering bulbs for £35 off the website - original delivery date was stated as being by the end of Jan, but I suppose they will be struggling to get stuff packed and sent whilst they are wearing wet-suits and flippers :heehee:
