Looks like we might be in the eye of the storm, the sky has suddenly become a lot lighter and the wind has stopped!

I'm glad I decided to work at home today rather than face the drive to Birmingham and back as the latest reports are that a lot of trees have been blown down on the route I was taking. The winds didn't really get up until the mid morning and then have increased steadily until they are of storm force at the moment.:hate-shocked:
I've been checking the Green House and garden every now and then and everything seems to be holding so far. The rain isn't too heavy but with the strong gusting winds it is travelling sideways. I was planning on going to the local Gardening Club meeting tonight despite the high winds but I've just received a phone call saying the meeting has been cancelled to the weather and number of trees down blocking the roads:snork: The temperature is now 41f.

Today lots of heavy rain and very cold.
Monday I went to a funeral about 25 miles away, the sun was shining when we went in church and the rain was pouring down when we came out. Went to the local for about 2 hours and on the way home we went through snow for a few miles. Got home and everywhere was dry!
            A day of all seasons!

They're all stalling about the responsibility of it all, hoping that by refusing talk about it while they save the country and take "action"...........I don't think so!!!:heehee:

We had a lovely morning here, cold and sunny. Then overcast in the afternoon and by 5 was raining quite heavily and the wind started to get up. All calm now and the rain easing off. Thinking of you all in the stormy areas - stay safe.

A little breezy here, but nothing much really. Snowy last night, but so far all gone, just a few showers. We feel very lucky up here, compared to those in the west country etc.
