To be honest I don't feel too sorry when someone's swimming pool is flooded.

Surely we aren't that poor a nation that we help those unable to help themselves like this lad in Bangladesh fetching some drinking water, both pictures from that Daily Fail article:

Doughboy Cameroon, stating he will not raid the overseas aid money, as we have all the money we need here and now

What he can not see, is the overseas aid is already in the budget, and it is us that needs aid

The as much money as is needed will be given, is fine, only it will be additional tax money that we will all have to find, whilst the overseas aid is already budgeted

If there is as much money as is needed, then why are we suffering austerity, GIVE ME MY PENSION BACK

        :-(
I have just re listened to PMQ and as much money as is needed, is not what it appears to be to our ears
As much money as needed equates to the cost of the armed forces supplied to help ie:- Nothing
I was in the armed forces and you are employed 24/7 365, and many times I have indeed done the 24/7, so it does not cost the Gov a penny more

Agreed as much money as needed is in the form of 100% of councils costs to clear the current mess up, and not for future prevention

The £5k grant to householders towards future flood prevention, Is the maximum " % " towards the cost as in householder pays £20k they will pay £5k towards it on a pro rata scale
Therefore you have to HAVE money in the first place

No wonder he refuses to raid the overseas aid budget, he does not need to

So perhaps it'll be those who've had their riverside swimming pools and boat houses flooded the that will benefit the most from this? Typical.

Even less so when it's a particularly annoying celebrity, can you guess who it is within the magic circle:

            For your information:
            Dear Mrs Green,

Thank you for contacting me about aid to China, I appreciate your concern about this issue.

I would like to reassure you that the Department for International Development (DFID) does not give any aid at all to China having closed its bilateral aid programme to China in March 2011. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s very limited spending on China is directed towards improving human rights and dealing with the international consequences of climate change.

The funding to China from the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) is historic, contractually binding and agreed before 2008. However, over time this investment is generating a return for the UK. Last year, CDC and DFID decided that countries and regions like China, South East Asia and Latin America will be excluded from all future CDC investments.

I hope this has reassured you.

            Kind regards,

He was in the papers a couple of weeks ago showing how for years he has prepared, by having a three foot wall. door blocks and three running pumps, so was exceptionally dry and prepared
