To day I went back in time to a delightful place (Halling)which holds sweet childhood memories for me after more than half a century, where I ran through the corn fields played by the river and lay in the long grass looking up at the sky and listening to the song of the Skylarks, watching Rabbits play and Kingfishers dive and guess what its exactly still the same, filled me with Bouncability and an incredible feeling of "I.m a very lucky Owl indeed":)

That's nice there Woo, we used to have Skylarks till a few years ago, now they're gone, not a rabbit in site, well i don't think a Kingfisher would last very long here as well, it's sad

Looks a nice place Woo :)

Skylarks are ground nesting Jiffy, they can't compete with the two crops a year now

            :dunno:
The Skylark population is in free fall in almost all European countries. This familiar bird of the fields in the open countryside seems doomed to extinction. In France some 1.8 million birds land in the frying pan or on the grill every year, most of them caught in nets.

I think Jiffy is referring to the "automatic retort" deterrent Ziggy,

Smashing photos Woo.. It does look a lovely place & so peaceful..
I took a trip back in time to a happy childhood place & it certainly rejuvenated my feelings about life again.. I am glad your trip had a good effect on you too... Nothing like a bit of nostalgia & reminiscing to perk one up sometimes.. :blue thumb:
