Woos Trek To Day

To day I went back in time to a delightful place (Halling)which holds sweet childhood memories for me after more than half a century,where I ran through the corn fields played by the river and lay in the long grass looking up at the sky and listening to the song of the Skylarks,watching Rabbits play and Kingfishers dive and guess what its exactly still the same,filled me with Bouncability and an incredible feeling of "I.m a very lucky Owl indeed"

The Skylark population is in free fall in almost all European countries. This familiar bird of the fields in the open countryside seems doomed to extinction. In France some 1.8 million birds land in the frying pan or on the grill every year, most of them caught in nets.
