Tips and tricks for toothache

      When i used to go to the dentist (at school) they could not give me the right amont of pain releaf when digging out a tooth or filling, so i would be in pain one minute then i be knock out the next, it put me off dentists for sure, so now i do my own, so far i only that toothache once :dbgrtmb:

        Same here. I seem to be resistant to anaesthetics. I've had times when I've had 2 or 3 top-ups of injections in the gum. Same with general anaesthetics. I've had them a few times and it always takes me longer to go under than the doctor/dentist/anaesthetist expects. On one occasion, I got the injection, and was asked to count to 10. You're supposed to be out before you get to 10 apparently. For me it went like this:

        Dentist: Please count to 10.
        Me: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
        Dentist: Oh. Erm, Try counting from 10 down to zero.
        Me: 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0.

        At this point the dentist and anaesthetists gave each other a 'look', and I saw the anaesthetists rechecking calculations, while I was wide awake. Then the dentist turned back to me, now with a tone of confusion in his voice.

        Dentist: Just try counting to 10 one more time please.
        Me: 1, 2, 3.... Boom, gone, suddenly I'm in a rave in a nightclub that got closed down before I was old enough to go to it. 'aving it large' to the funky junglism beats:)

        I woke up annoyed, having been physically collected from the rave and dragged back to the dentists room, quite convinced that I had actually been to the rave, and even trying to discuss it with the dentist who, I was convinced, had also been giving it rock all on the dance floor. I had to do some explaining afterwards, to my dad who was waiting for me, and had heard me discussing what a good night it had been at the Big Beat, given that I was only 16 at the time. Obviously he knew I hadn't been on that occasion, but he did ask how I knew so much about what it was like at a rave event.:heehee::help:

          Tincture of Myrrh, apply a small drop to the tooth (use a cotton bud if needed)

            Snap, had to go for an op a few years back, they gave me the med, still didn't work, had aother lot, can remember being wheeled down to the cutting room put on the table ready, the surgen saying "we've got a toughies here" out came the gas, i closed my eyes, they thought i was gone under, just before they started to cut, i said is this going to hurt, :yikes:, in the end i had lots of jabs around where they were going to cut, didn't feel a thing but i wacht all what was going on :eeew:
            and couldn't walk for weeks becuse the lower part of my body was num

              You guys are geniuses with clove oil keeping it clean I've had very little pain today... I'm sure it was the pic of those pliers eep- lol :)

                Make sure you get to the dentist though - they must be able to do something for you.

                  I have tried as soon as the baby is born and it's safe I'm putting it in a car seat and going over to dental part of hospital then over to gastro clinic to fix my tummy lol
