I can't find mine either @Lolimac - nor can if find the power jet nozzle for my pressure washer, so perhaps they have all gone on holiday together or something?

It's winter, it's the weekend and it's 10.30pm! So why does a boiler choose to breakdown around this time, albeit a couple of hours ago. Mine's in it's own room attached to the back of my bungalow, it's blowing a hooley out there, light inside is not brilliant and there's water pouring out of it! Somebody out there hates me! :gaah:

Finally got hold of my boiler guy twenty minutes ago who was out celebrating his wife's birthday and I now feel mean for disturbing him. :doh:Meanwhile the boiler has been shut down and he talked us through where to turn the water off......there's so many taps underneath it! One huge bill coming up tomorrow I think when he's been, done and sorted. :ouch1:

I usually find mine half buried in the garden the same day I buy their replacement.

Boiler update.......Well it turned out not to be an expensive repair, but I'm yet to find out the Sunday call out charge will which be held over until the service is done on Wednesday. The culprit is below.....

                        IMG_2898.JPG

A tiny gasket that decided it was time to flood the boiler room. Apart from emptying the room I haven't had time to strip out the carpet that is in there for added insulation. A long session coming up tomorrow to dry it all out methinks!

Nuisance wildlife in garden. Part 1

The deer are back and so are the badgers!!!

I know that badgers are a protected species but so are the wild bee orchids that they've been digging out of the garden! They're digging in the wild area of the garden and are now digging on the main lawn :dunno:.

The worst part of the wild area

                              P1190834.JPG

                              P1190765.JPG

and there are more parts they have dug up down there!

Then we have the main lawn

                              P1190845.JPG

They won't be protected if I catch them! :old:

I've been putting wire where I thing they're coming through and hope it works. Next stage is dynamite!
