busy busy busy

so been scarce on here this last few weeks. firstly due to being swamped at work and then making the most of the last of the good weather up the plot ..... so i have taken down the shed (what was left of it) and made this all from scrap that i have scavenged




which has cleared a nice big area for me to make a new strawberry bed
for now i have covered the bare ground with carpet just to keep down the weeds


most of this end has been covered after the crops failed lol my onions were a disaster, carrots are still going ok ....... my winter onions seems to be doing ok .... i plan on putting broad beans in here .....
also i have put a support under the path that belongs to next door they kept land sliding of the slabs into my plot, i am going to edge the plot with fruit bushes to act as a natural wind barrier, and this will also stop them just wandering around my plot



and here you can see me beans are still alive these are actually better then most of the others on the site



leeks are ok, sweetcorn never really recovered from earlier in the year, the potatoes are doing good and the gabages swedes and turnips are hiding under the nets ... the courgettes arent in the picture but these have done very well

 

now off to dig in some manure before work this after noon

Mine are noisy........... hubbys ALWAYS giving me dirty looks!

 

my hubby is a perfect gent he pretends he didnt notice lol .... but the smell i was referring to was the manure not my farts julie

 

I thought you were meant to blame it on the dog.......... I guess using manure as an excuse is ok tho!!

 

well back to Manure have managed to get a dumper and some free manure so off up the plot to move some POO

 

well due to my ill health i did very little at the plot last year the grand children grew runners pumpkins and courgettes just to keep the inspector at bay , it has been neglected greatly , so now i have gotten over my health issues i really need to get up there and start a fresh i will post pics the when i go up and see how it has fared the storms
