Technically, they were a red crocosmia but they're definitely not the deep red that Lucifer is.

I don't know how much the colour from the camera is affecting it. So here's a shot of both.

    This is 'red':

    And this is Lucifer:

Photos look Orange, but if Mrs S says they are Red that's fine for me. Just up to you whether you want to pot & sell, or for me to bring a tipper truck and make a bulk purchase :)

@shiney what is the purple cone shaped flower next to red crocosmia?

It's Veronicastrum. The leaves look good, as well, and the bees go mad over it.

Oh yes Armandii, I should say so. I've been thinking what I can offer.

I have the Manx Marvel tomato seed for starters, maybe I'll start a few seedlings off if anyone wants to try them?

Also I should have some young pups of Tetrapanax papyrifer 'Rex'.

I could pot on a few of Jenny's Oxalis "Iron Cross".

I did bring a car load of plants sown in March but due to the lateness in the season that we had last year, and the effect of that on the plants, a lot of them were still really too young to make an attractive sale. I'll have to have a scratch around to see what I can bring this year.:coffee:

No reason not to me thinks? I am bound to have spares - last year not enough people took up my offer of plants - I hope they weren't just being nice and not wanting to take advantage or anything like that?

I don't want any money for my spare plants, but if someone wants to put some money in Shiney's kitty and feels that it quid pro quo, then that's fine by me.

Darn it - I was hoping to shift some of mine!!

                First dibs please?

I never say no to salvias. I'm hoping this year that they will really come into their own as they didn't really get going last year. The Oxford Blue ones did flower had a really really vivid blue to them too.

I'm pretty sure I'm off to my cousins wedding that weekend I think, so I'm very doubtful I will be able to make it this year. It's a shame as you're all a lovely bunch and shiney's garden was very inspirational.

If there's any plants or anything else I don't want I may send on up ahead to help out as it's all for a good cause. :)

Mrs S says they were supposed to be a 'red' but they do have an orangey look to them but nowhere near as orange as the shorter, orange, monbretia. I could heel them into the veg garden but will Mrs K want them?

All plant contributions are gratefully accepted :blue thumb:. Last year's donations from GC members filled a 6ft table :hate-shocked:

I struggle to grow enough of them :( although I do have a bit more seed this year :) Last year I only had 10 or a dozen seeds of most of the varieties I was trying ...

I like the Oxford Blue too, and this year not growing Cambridge Blue (as it was too light for what I wanted - no surprise as Cambridge Blue is ... ermmm ... lighter than Oxford of course :) )

Lightweight! Even I have been to a wedding on Shiney's Open Day in the past and still turned up for the curry - I seem to remember I even arrived in my Tails :) got changed, and was half way back up the M11 before I remember they were still hanging up where I had got changed - Twit!

Perhaps I'd better not bring the Bulk Truck then :heehee: I'd be happy to take a few though.
