    Morning everyone,

The sun is out here today but it is frigid!!

We had a busy busy weekend, but we got Kait moved, and all of her food and what not stocked up again, spent over $800 but her cupboards are full and her chest freezer is full, plus she doesn't need to worry about people eating her food now.

I'll tell you, she really lucked out with the apartment, what we were paying for her rental room, add another $120 and that's her new 2 bed apartment, its a loft style in an old industrial building, huge laundry room, secure entrance and a gym on site, access to 3 BBQ's if she wants, and she's on the second floor too.

Yesterday was Brad's dads b-day (sort of, leap year baby), so we took up some cake and a card and spent the afternoon there, and looked after Daniel for Natalie and Dan for awhile...so i feel a little wiped out today

I'm off shortly to do some deliveries for Brad...........so enjoy your day everyone.

      Aloha Woo and everyone,

That's a lovely pile of pancakes :blue thumb:. If you eat all those you'll be grounded for a week. :heehee:

I hope our neighbour doesn't take Ash Wednesday to heart. He's been burning conifers for the last four days! Everywhere and everything was covered in ash :hate-shocked: but yesterday's rain has helped wash things down.

This morning it's very frosty but the sun is shining brightly.

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

Good morning everyone, hope you're all well.

I'd take Woo up on that offer if I were you Shiney :heehee:

Scrummy looking batch of pancakes Woo.

Pleased your daughter got settled in her new apartment Penny. Sounds as though it's worth the extra money, for your peace of mind as well as the extra space.

Take care all and enjoy your day

          Good morning everyone,

Cor pancakes:hapfeet:....they look lovely Woo:dbgrtmb:....i usually manage 3 but if it wasn't for getting up and down from the table to keep making them i'm sure i'd get through more (maybe i should just do a whopping great pile in one go)....i remember when i was little my Mum would be stood cooking them for what seemed ages, one after the other with the obligatory 1...2...3... bit each time:).....it's a good day to find out if the dentist is needed too because if there happens to be a cavity in a tooth the syrup will find it:biggrin:

I hope your neighbour has finisheded burning those conifers Shiney....don't they create a mess:doh:...i have a neighbour that regularly burns goodness knows what that creates lots of ash...WW111 nearly broke out once because Mrs 'Bucket' the other side of me had just had all her windows cleaned and she was furious....can't say i blamed her,it did look like a volcano had erupted:gaah:

Had a keen frost overnight down to -2 wasn't expecting that but the suns out again, also had the early morning call from the chooks to tell me to sort their frozen water out...they are impatient :chicken:....

Taking Mum for her visit to the nurse then shopping then i might have a pancake eating competition:heehee:

          Enjoy everyone:dbgrtmb:

Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

Woo, can I take you up on that offer? :blue thumb: :heehee:

              Aloha everyone,

              Thanks, Moyra

It's another very frosty morning with the sun shining brightly

Yesterday, at the bridge club, we celebrated one of our member's 70th wedding anniversary! :)

I've had enough of clearing moss and shall start working in the veg garden. It's a really tough job with lots of big patches of grass, strawberry weed, buttercups, bindweed and loads of large leafed weeds with deep roots. They've grown like mad because of the mild winter. I don't suppose it's going to help with the ground being so soggy!

              Have a great day

              Aloha!

              Good morning everyone,

Yes another cracker of a morning here too:blue thumb: our local forecaster was telling of things warming up over the next week with only the odd shower:dancy:.....i'm already having to water some of the shrubs as the borders are very dry....March has come in like a Lamb, let's hope it goes out like a 'Sheep'....

I've lots of pricking out to do as there are quite a few people already asking for plants this year....think i'll have to modify my staging to fit them all in and i'm only just getting started:doh:....

Good luck with weeding Shiney:phew:..mind your back:thumbsup:

              Wishing everyone well...

Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

              Aloha everyone,

              Another beautiful morning!

Loli you really are getting on with your sowing and pricking out etc.

I have done nothing in the garden not even cut the lawn I can't it is still like a bog so the patio is as far as I can go and the lilac tree which is my bird station because Steve put in some stepping stones straight across to it so I keep the mud and squelch off my shoes. I have to replenish the birds seed holders every day as we have a constant stream of sparrows, great and blue tits etc coming across for the seed and peanuts. I get through a £3 bag of peanuts in less than a week and have just bought another £12 bag of wild bird seed. Last year I was making up the coconuts with lard and seed etc and we just had thousands of starlings. I decided I would prefer the smaller birds so stopped doing it and now have sparrows in their hundreds visiting each day!

Shiney, I expect Hannah is making progress with her cuttings etc for open day, I hope she is feeling a lot better than she was.

WOO how's your garden, can you get out on it ok.

I really need a week without rain before my garden is going to be accessible. I also want to see what if any of the fuschias I left out in the containers under fleece and a cloche right across, have survived at all. Probably dried out underneath it I guess. I did take some good cuttings of my hardy fuschia and put them in the plastic greenhouse and they are coming along beautifully so I may propogate them a bit more and have permanent fuscias. They are the lovely red and mauve ones.

Anyway have a lovely day all that visit, Penny, CRG and LIF as well, God bless.

              Aloha!:wub2:

                  Aloha everyone,

Well, what a lovely day yesterday :blue thumb:

The forecast is dry but overcast for the next few days but quite mild. I need the ground to dry out a bit as it's very claggy and difficult to dig out the solid mass of weeds in the veg garden. My big clodhoppers aren't helping much as they're compacting everything as I walk.

Got a maintenance man turning up shortly. Got to dash.

                  Have a great day

                  Aloha!

                  Good morning everyone,

Funny you should say that Woo...i've just been looking through a seed catalogue and came across the Sunflowers.....it showed huge show stoppers and they'd removed some of the seeds to create a smiley face on them...haven't seen that before but what a great idea having them smiling down at you...i must give that a go:dbgrtmb:....

Like you Shiney i have a large clump of Crocosmia that needs dealing with but i keep putting it off as i know how hard it's going to be.....it's set like concrete:doh:....

Moyra....It's standing room only in my GH already...I blame GC for all the encouragement and ideas i get:heehee:

Not sure where to start today:rolleyespink:.....but the most important job is going to help out my Great Aunt....97 years of age and as bright as a button but sadly her body is letting her down and she is no longer able to manage so is going for respite but finding a suitable place is a daunting task.....it's all quite emotional as she has always been such an independant lady and naturally she is finding this very difficult as are the rest of us........

Had a touch of rain over night but the sun is out and about again...i could get used to this:SUNsmile:

                  Have a great day everyone
Take it easy and take care:SUNsmile:
