It looks very good to me. :blue thumb:

Will you need to make a small ramp on both sides of the door for easier access for a wheelbarrow etc., or don't you envisage needing to barrow anything into it? I suppose one would stop you tripping over the frame!

I have that, as the borders in my greenhouse has lowered, for max. cropping height. I've just got some paving slabs "burried a bit" at the low end so that they are angled to be flush with the door sill at their "higher end"

I think the work involved is negligible, as both types require as much work as you want to do yourself. The tunnels that Nathan, Scrungee and I have are designed to go up easily and quickly and both factors are true, we have all decided though to make them into something more than they actually are and you could do that to any tunnel regardless of design or cost.

Personally, my choice to go with these tunnels was purely cost related and once erected and customised they should withstand all weather, and they have withstood our recent storms. I will be replacing the cover on one this spring with a proper polytunnel plastic and it will still be far cheaper than other tunnels, and already proven strong enough to withstand very rough weather.

Having looked at other tunnels on our allotment site the only real difference that I can see if overall height which can be greater with more expensive tunnels.

Very nice progress with your tunnel Nathan, great access with those two doors.

        Steve...:)

You better watch out, Tony, I hear that there are some funny people at your allotment that can mess up what you're doing! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I popped over yesterday and did a couple of things ..... Firstly, I added a baton to the end that will 'Not' be opened, I still want to add a couple more batons to strengthen the end to reduce the amount of flex the cover has.

Secondly, I covered the doors in the cover material and fixed batons to hold in place :-

I am all ready to get inside and sort out what I'll be doing inside now, I need to remove quite a bit of soil from inside, as it is a bit high where I mounded it up, also, I want to remove some to replace with some manure that my dad has said I can have as much as I want.

That'll be fun transporting that lot down your site, to the plot! Still, it'll get you fit and strong !

As an allotment plot grower now your name may change to "The Muscles with Brussels" lol

Used to be very popular in Japan on their [tiny] small holdings. basically a man-sized rotavator that could pull a small trailer and the owner at almost less-than walking pace for the few hundred yards to get them home! Probably had a stack of implements suited to paddy fields. I think its called a two-wheeled tractor

I have no picture updates (at least not at the moment) as all I have really been doing is digging root systems out of the ground and turning it over, I envy those other plot holders that have only had to turn their soil over and leave the frost to do the hard work for them :)

I've been over today and have sown quite a few seeds in the cell trays (from factory shop, £1 for 3x 24 cell tray + 1 for 3x water tight outer trays ..... I even bought some capillary mat as well).

As well as what I have sown today on the allotment, I have got some chilli seeds on the go at home (as they are in a heated propagator), 2 of the Ed's Reapers (worlds hottest chillis) have shown themselves, as have some Bhut Jolokia and some Scotch Bonnets .... Yesterday I sowed 5 Chocolate Habanero seeds as well.
