I grew these from cuttings but unfortunately the labels have gone missing so I don't know what they were. I need to ID them so I can care for them properly!!
    Thanks in advance P3106178.JPG P3106179.JPG

Second one looks like a photinia Red Robin, but not sure about the first. Could be a hydrangea?

I agree Loofah the 2nd is Photinia Red Robin, the first pic looks like a Honeysuckle of some kind perhaps..

Think the first one might be Chaenomeles (flowering quince).

Could the first one be Weigela?.....can you remember if there were any flowers on the 'mother' plant and what colour they were?

they need to have all the grass removed from around the shrubs would help otherwise the grass will take up nutrients and water

re Weigela, I really can't remember the "mother" plant - all I know is I must've thought it pretty!!!
As for the tip about removing any grass, I take the point and that will be done right now.
I suppose that with the photo no 1 - I'll have to wait until it grows a bit more and produces something more identifiable. The second one IS Photinia, I now remember that.
          Thanks for helping me.

I think Marley Farley is right - first one is a Honeysuckle. It looks remarkably like one growing further up the garden from which I probably took a cutting!! Can I grow it as a bush type
shrub ?? (it's parent plant is a rambling type)
