Mowed half the grass yesterday - now got to find where I stored the petrol can last Autumn so I can rescue the mower from where I abandoned it!

Laid yet more mulching fabric ...

Replacing the polytunnel cover today. Will have to have a good tidy in there afterwards.

Thanks for identifying it :) I've thinned it out at the back & underneath, there seems to be a lot of dead branches there. I'll give it another good cut in the week I think :)

After doing my housework so I don`t feel guilty all week in the garden, I can get on , weeded part of the front border, did a bit more shuffling in the greenhouse, space desperate, planted out 2 winter flowering clematis which I have had in the greenhouse for ages.

If you are sowing inside it's fine to make a start Minki, if outside I'd wait until April unless the seed packets say otherwise.

Moved a blackcurrant bush, checked the rabbit proof fence and found a breach, so sorted that. Watered the polytunnel, found a mouse had chewed its way in, sorted that I hope. Sowed broad beans. Weeded the raspberries. Lovely sunny day, so good to be able to get on top of nettles early in the year, they pull up very easily after all the rain.

Yesterday I started a reshuffle in the GH to make more space and all I've done is create chaos so i'll be putting that to rights today....then mixing MP compost and FYM for my container spuds....plus more pricking out ....

Some guys came today and took two upvc windows three mattresses an exercise machine and a car and trailer load of stuff from the garden. I took their reg and checked with tip coz I was worried they were going to dump it but fair play I misjudged them. They only charged me £50. Oh got some grass off the patio. Will have to go out with him in the morning and try to teach him "finishing off" like sweeping ALL dirt of patio , edging grass etc. I tried to plant some polyanthus out but bump is too big now- cue tears it's very frustrating

I've had to get on with some repaving that I have been putting off for ages.
Planted some new grapes. Got various seeds sown in the, newly recovered, polytunnel and refreshed the bed in there.
It is nice to be productive out there again! :)

Outdoor housework is just as important as indoor so never feel guilty, well that's how I justify it :heehee:

:grphg: aw, less than 8 weeks to go then you can enjoy your garden again. Must be satisfying training OH to 'help' though

Pricked out some snapdragons. Fed some of my plants in pots and moved a few more into the sunny part of the garden. Wandered about with a cup of tea trying to convince myself not to buy any more pots.
