For several days now GC as been playing up,I am confident enough to say that it is this site,I visit many sites and have no problems,my computer is first class otherwise running smoothly and as been finely tuned,I have wiped it and started again,it is purring just like a big pussy cat ;):heehee:

This is no way a criticism of the Site or indeed anyone connected to it ,as you all know I just love GC ,this post is not intended to offend anyone and if it does I sincerely apologise, its just that sometimes it gets very frustrating thank you for listening I feel a lot better now:)

    Yours frustrated ,disillusioned,but happy and contented:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

:lolpt:This is what I see about 3 times a day

I thought it was very slow yesterday until I cleared my cache / cookies. I thought maybe I should do that seeing as there has been an upgrade but I know nothing about these things. It did seem to help though. :dunno:

WOL , I suffered with the Google Chrome "AW SNAP " fault a couple of months ago . Its a Chrome fault and there are lots "fixes" on the internet for this . Non worked in my case ! I went back to Firefox and this was OK. Two weeks ago I tried Chrome again and all is perfect now.

                  Oh well done Woo..

I mentioned it to other half & he has a similar problem he couldn't work it out to start with.. Turned out he had a Trojen or something working away in the background using his processor & memory.. So he did a cleared cookies & ran his anti-malware, then a deep scan & finished with defrag.. Computer ran faster & google stopped throwing up the unresponsive page..

I agree with you wiseowl that Chrome is quicker than Firefox, but you will find that Firefox supports more features of the new HTML 5 standard.

I suspect that those figures for web browsers are skewed in Chrome's favour due to all the Android based smartphones that use a mobile version of Chrome and thus report back to servers with the Chrome User Agent string which is where the data for that table probably comes from.
It would be interesting to see what the figures are for PC's only.

Perhaps one of the admins can check the server logs of this site and give us some percentages of the most used browsers.

I prefer Chrome as it does seem smoother and quicker . Amazed it has 55% of the market over IEs 10% - how the mighty fall !
My Chrome problem started when I updated to the latest version . I tried to download an old version and picked up a load of malware for my troubles!! So had a happy weekend running Malware bytes et al.

Only problems I have found with GC recently are I seem to get logged out from time to time even though I have the box ticked.
Also the other bight there was problems loading the pages.

                        I'm using Firefox.

I have nothing against Chrome, in fact I occasionally use it at work, however sadly most of the web-based stuff we do is only compatible with IE - however, I am another Firefox user. I switched to Firefox years ago (while Chrome was still a twinkle in someone eye) when I had a load of trouble with IE, and it has never let me down since.

I've had that a couple of times this week too - I must admit that I just assumed I was getting logged out due to the updates that were being done to the site.

When the site updates you should clear your cookies anyway.. Or at least clear them every couple of days as the norm as all sites attach their cookies now when you visit anyway, I do & touch wood don't have any problems..
