I cannot agree. I have been producing my own presentation programs and web pages now for many years all much easier to use than slowly uploading and clicking on individual photos. Those interested can see this by my daily pages of contributions from friends a These often include photos of lovely scenery from all over the world.

I suspect the reason why a few of your members are unable to view because it is as you can see it is a compacted MHT file visible with Windows Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome if you wait a mo. But they maybe using something else such as a Mac PC. I have therefore created a standard HTM file visible by ALL PCs at

In case any are not aware you should be able to download a copy of ANY photo / image online on any site by using a right click on the image

Just to help you understand my computer treats your download as a suspected virus I guess others have the same issue, it's just not a normal way to do things:

              [

I would never open a download sorry Sigord, your temp links works fine though.

I agree. Since I've never come across .MHT files before I looked them up and found this:
"Because MHT files can be infected, they should always be scanned before opening."

The original link also doesn't work on an iPad. People access this site using a variety of devices so a format suitable for all is preferable.

I use AVG some other anti virus are too fussy.
Would you really expect me to upload all 51 photos instead of this lovely Power Point presentation of beautiful scenery.

Beware it takes several seconds to download being over 5 Mb
If you use Windows you may need the free Power Point viewer from

If you use a Mac PC visit
Do you want me to post here links to any more contributions of presentations of lovely scenery?
                  Thanks your decision

As a member of the forum Gordon we would expect you to listen to the requests of the members , and just post a handful of photos to view. I really , really don't want to download a 5mb Powerpoint of your daffodils , but would love to view a couple of photos . This is post No12 now and I ain't even seen a tete a tete , mountains and molehills spring to mind.

I haven't opened any links except for the final link in post #6. I hope that's ok to look at as so far my PC seems to be fine. I'm not opening anything else.

Would you really expect people to download 51 photos of someone else's holiday snaps even if they are of beautiful scenery? This is after all primarily a gardening forum.

If you want to share photos of scenery why not use a photo sharing website like Flickr or Picasa? People can then look at photos without having to download them or the software needed to view them. They are also accessible via other devices like iPads.

Personally I avoid all unnecessary downloads on my PC because there's just too much risk of getting some sort of malware.
