Urgh! Looks like a bloody fire engine!

Looking again at the doors... putty all coming apart (fixable), cracks in between joins (fillable maybe), this combined with the bowing / warping, do I want to salvage them?

Looks like expenditure is coming my way afterall.

Agreed and that is what it will look like after a summer or two when the paint starts fading.
Perhaps the best (assuming doors are salvageable) is to strip down to the wood, use a stain and reseal.

I reckon it's too much work, time to start looking for replacement doors.

I agree. Have ordered the timber and it's all coming out (not the lintel!). Doors would have looked 'temporary' anyway so back to original plan.
Bit of a bonus, got all the timber pressure treated for free so saved about £25 quid there. Quite looking forward to it now - I loikes me woodwerk!

You especially want the ones where I've banged my thumb with a hammer I suppose?

      OK, I've got wood lol

Just had the timber delivered and I'm well impressed. If you live the in south east and are in the need then have a look at Champion Timer as they are the dogs danglies. Incomparable quality compared to the likes of Wickes

Well they certainly don't build em like they used to! This is taking forever to wreck apart. Wherever hasn't rotted is solid as a rock! Doors off (very heavy!) but having small break for lunch having left half the uprights in place.
Sweating like a pig (me, not the uprights)...

Near end of first day. Not the conventional way of building the wall but working for me. It has a few extra pieces in place now and a big blue tarp covering lower 3/4 mainly to keep the fox out!

Christ I ache this morning! Last two uprights to install, noggins and cladding...

Of course, this would be a good time to have remembered the window isn't glazed and I neglected to get the glass quotes I meant to do months ago. Blast!!
