Well that's the dahlias planted!!

    My husband always used to start them into growth this way so I'm doing the same. Anyone else start them off like this!?

      I do this when taking cuttings I can see what happening , are you keeping in a greenhouse Val ?

      This is only my 2nd year growing Cactus Dahlias . I planted the tubers fully covered and straight up. I put them in a cold GH in early April. Is the laying flat method better?

      Nah, I just stick them in individual pots and water them. They start off quick enough

        Yes, in the greenhouse, minutes after I took this pic my little dog stealthily dug one up and was walking around with it sticking out of his mouth!!!! :heehee:

        When they are laying flat you can see straight away when they start sprouting, useful if you want to take cuttings or are just impatient like me!!!!:)
