When we lived in Ireland we had a chaffinch who used to stand and shout until we gave him some of the dogs (soaked) biscuits.

Soldanella Villosa a new purchase that I spotted in the shade section of the GC yesterday, just need to find the right spot in the wood for it now needs moist but well drained soil, related to the primrose, anyone else grown this? any tips welcome.

Corydalis solida 'Incisa' a new purchase last spring from Harrogate spring fair, thought it'd died as the minute I planted it it whilted and died back, nice to see it emerge again.

My Trilliums are just starting to flower. Boy are they slow to increase. I have had this clump for oh about 20 years! Originally bought 3 small plants at big expense and they haven't exactly bulked up much. However about 4 years ago I spied some seedlings, carefully lifted them (Trilliums at any stage resent being moved) and potted them up. This year the seedlings
have appeared and I have at least 10 which are going to flower for the 1st time:dancy:. Now, I'm going to have the tricky business of getting them safely out of the huge pot I've had them in and into the garden, if I bust any I will :cry3:!!!! Of all my Spring flowering plants Trilliums have to be my favourite just wish they weren't so slow to make a nice big clump. CIMG3319.JPG
