What's Buzzing or Flying near you today.... 2014

    Our garden was buzzing with bees, flies and butterflies but I was too busy to spend much time taking photos unfortunately. While I was resting with a cup of tea I did take a few snap shots.

          Had a Brimstone settle in the garden on a Viburnum, went for the camera and it flew off.:biggrin:

            Feel ashamed I should of known that , its the legs that get to me , and to think I can open up a beehive with over 50 thousand bees in !!! something not right with me :heehee:

              @Spruce Yep that "spike" is scary looking but I'm pleased to see they're harmless! I'll be looking out for them in the garden. :biggrin:

                  Beeflies can be found more commonly on ivy in the Autumn when it is in flower.

                    A stand of Pines in Wareham Forest was alive with Siskins, Redpolls and Goldfinches all singing together but what caught my eye although at first I thought it was another Chaffinch amongst them, turned out to be a Brambling. I haven't seen one for years as they are not seen very often around here.

                      This bee was just laying on the concrete so I carefully picked the little bee up and placed our little friend in the sun,and hey presto he got warmed up and off he flew:)
