The last few days I've been digging weeds, edging lawns and spent eight hours pressure hosing. I got a new border fork (can't cope with a digging fork) and need a new elbow and new back! :heehee:

Only approx. another 24 hours of pressure hosing to go.

I emptied the Green House today of all the over wintering plants, buckets, tools etc that had overstayed their welcome and then brushed it out. I then filled the 5 litre spray canister with a Jeyes Fluid solution and sprayed the inside from top to bottom upsetting a few spiders who decided to move house!! After that I checked on all the seeds in the trays that I'd sowed over the last week and moved them around into better light where I thought it was needed. It was then time to wash down the Green House inside and out using the garden hose and getting rid of the bird muck on the roof!!! Back into the garage I got the large plastic shelves that I bought from Aldi's a couple of years ago and erected them in the Green House so that I could put some of the seedling trays on them which gave me more space in the House!!! After that it was a sit in the Arbour with a mug of tea.:coffee::snork:

I spent today re-arranging my life, not the garden or greenhouse......you'll be told in good time! :)

        Tomorrow hopefully, I'll be potting!

Finished orit-rhians play area with bark chippings. Looks well smart. Mini table and chairs
          Storage box for sand
A "potting bench" made out of an old sand table
Two pots filled with mpc for her "planting"
She seems to like breaking bits of plants and putting them in her pots. A small step to cuttings now :)

:hapfeet: yyeee cut all the lawns , wasn't to bad amazing what a cut lawn will do for the garden, I find it amazing of how much pottering can take so much time up.
The lawn its mostly moss , which doesn't surprise me with all the rain we had for months.

If I weed and feed I think 80% will turn black, it didn't look to bad going into the winter either. Potted up some daylily seeds @simbad dont shout I put them in wet kitchen roll into a plastic bag in the fridge, just as well I checked them as they are forming the main root so all sorted now. (back in the fridge) until I see a green shoot.

Planted out some perennials that I had (dicentra formosa) taken cuttings from early summer [IMG]

planted out the wood anemone that Armandii kindly gave me on the edge of the fern border so should like it

emptied the dalek (compost) bin all over the gooseberry bed and under the Mulberry tree , its amazing how so many worms can disappear so quickly but the robin was on the fence watching at long last this one is friendly as in gets about 6 feet away from you .

Gave my hands a good scrubbing when I completed this job as you know I had visitors plus a antiseptic wash just to be on the safe side

Flattened the area where the new greenhouse is to go and laid a membrane out. Then found lots of jobs to do at the other end of the garden as OH 'constructed' said greenhouse. It isn't going well and much bad language ensued so I kept out of the way.

Another five hours of pressure hosing and then an hour of removing ivy.

A very enjoyable day weeding, clearing snipping & trimming.. 1st cut of the lawn, but cutters up high, edges done..
Filled in my runner bean trench & put the canes up to get them out of the way.. Tripped over them one time too many..!

Weeded & fed the planters at the front of the house as they are going bonkers now..

First time in the garden this year today. I've cut back and, cleared the border splitting the two lawns and emptied, the contents of the compost heap onto this and my three raised veg beds. Did a bit more cutting back. Need to start sowing some seeds now.

Well been outside since 10am till 5pm
Tidying borders , removing all the dead stuff.
Cut back all the dead canna stems in the front, still nice and firm  Hopefully they'll sprout again.
Didn't get round to mowing the lawn though.
                        Finish off having a bonfire.

Finished widening the border near the garage after removing some pavers that had been down 20 years as you can imagine the ground was very compacted and digging it over was blooming hard work...got blisters to prove it...
More potting on and pricking out and sown my tomatoes:dbgrtmb:
