Hmmm, another dodgy looking download even though I already said why members on here were not opening them. Just post your photos on here in the normal way Gordon.

Due to the consternation that the link has caused I have deleted the links and have pm'd Sigord to explain my reasons.

I should have made it clear the 5 Mb PPS presentation is of 51 lovely scenery photos of South America, not just my simple Daffs. I see I can upload this PPS file of leaf Art.

It seems very few of the members here have ever seen a Microsoft PPS Power Point Presentation or maybe perhaps even a WMV video. If so this is great pity as I regularly get perfectly safe PPS among others sent to me for my daily pages on my web site . In fact since 2006 the visitor counter shows I have had well over 120,000 people visit the many contributions mostly elderly friends send me. I have NEVER received any complaints of any problems of any form of virus, as I am fully protected by the popular AVG antivirus. For those who like here have difficulty in displaying any of the contributions, there is special page of Help.

All I would like to do is provide opportunities for members here to see some of the beautiful gardens and scenery shown in some presentations, like the Dutch Festivals of Flowers. Like the 5 Mb of lovely scenery of South America ( not my Daffs ) I provided a link here, they all contain far more photos than could be shown in this forum, so they have be shown as PPS presentations. I would emphasise there are many millions of these presentations shown on web sites, and for such as advertising .

For those nervous of visiting a little known web site like mine I would be willing to upload some to another site, if you advise me which site to use. However if few of your members are interested in this offer I will not bother.

        Thanks Gordon

Of course we are aware of Power Point and WMV since many of us work in IT and gardening is our hobby. What we are saying is that putting a download link on a post for a 5Mb attachment is not a good idea, and hopefully you understand the reasons why?

Power Point is a little old hat these days, what would be much preferable is for you to embed your media in the post, for instance as a YouTube video, that's the normal etiquette on here.

Can't see many daffs in this thread so I'll post a pic of mine. I grow them on the plot for cutting and have just cut the last ones. Sadly the warm weather has brought them on and there wont be any left to sell my to daughter for Mothers Day.

Here's some of mine. Bulbs bought reduced at Wilkos, potted up using reduced compost and free pots, they cost < 10p/pot. For family/friends + those who helped us with a £5,000 fund raising exercise last year.
