Summerhouse nearly there....

it started out as normal shell, off the peg from waltons garden buildings at just over £1k. everything else was done by me inc putting it up. (which i need a mate to lend a hand)

the roof, walls and floor have been insulated, ive put a rubber roof on instead of leaving the felt, its been tongue and grooved, skirting added, oak coloured laminate, and electrics. i made the reveals for the windows to give it a more *finished* look. its cost me nowt for the cable and sockets as i already had them, paint for the outside and inside was less than £30, laminate was 5 quid a square meter, insulation was a tenner (already had some) so the biggest expense was the tongue and groove, but as its only 7mm and i have a trade account at b&q, it was more than reasonable. factor in the cost of nails and screws ( about a tenners worth) then i reckon the whole lot stands me no more than £1300 finished including buying it and putting the base down.

the cheapest insulated summer house i've seen at a size of 3.1 x 3.2m was in the region of 4k!!!!!!!

not bad considering.

 

Gorgeous!!!!!! I like the way the doors are cream on the outside but black on the inside!!

Had a right bit of luck this weekend with this!

Did a search on free cycle for some sofas, and up popped a couple of brown leather sofas about 2 miles from me. I replied and I picked them up this morning!!!

In fab condition too, how lucky was that?

Hehe,I couldn't believe my luck!

Clicked on freecycle, did a search and up popped these sofas, no description other than brown leather. They wanted them picked up today, so phoned mrs Als best mate who has a van and asked to borrow it. Sent a message and hey presto, picked them up today. Cannot get over the condition, as I never seen them or was told about the condition, I expected them to be bit battered and marked, but their in better condition than my own in the lounge!!

Met some friends this afternoon in Liverpool 1, and went to TK max. Picked up 3 aubergine rose printed canvas prints for £12, so they'll go on the wall. Just need a chest of drawers or something similar to put the hifi on and I'm moving in!

 

I know that summerhouse is in better condition than my house!
