pottering about , planted out two daylilys , potted on Alstomeria "rock n Roll" into 6 inch pots they are looking really good and one has a flower bud so thats a 1st for me .
Planted tomato seeds "Clive Bevan" and "Manx Marvel" M&M will have own mini greenhouse again to keep the seeds pure, checked all the named begonias , so most are up but I know some take longer than others as in a certain two but buds are starting , never went the Utility site started raining !!! but that can wait !! again .....

Need to order climbing courgette seeds "black forest" TM only stockist I know off but performed so well in the greenhouse last year its a must have and trained in every couple of days not untidy and dont take over . If only I had a voucher:th scifD36::snork: to use.

All plants in the greenhouse watered so that's about it today me thinks ...

After a great day (first in a while to be honest), I am going to clear the garden to make way for a few new flowerbeds. It may mean bending over quite a bit (my back will hate me tomorrow) but I know that I will have some great results overall. Very excited about actually getting in there.

Just come back inside after doing a few hours...I'm frozen as it's really windy. I'm getting more direct sunshine now so I moved more pots into the sunny bits of the garden. Planted in a basket and a couple of pots some Viola Sorbet I got from the local GC yesterday. They have added a splash of colour - lots of purple, blue, yellow and white shades. Then I pottered about checking everything - the crocus are still going strong and there are a few more daffs which are about to flower. Also cleaned out the garden waste wheelie bin. They wouldn't collect it last time as there was a microscopic bit of soil in it!! :gaah:

So I removed a whole bin liner's worth of mint from my bed, chopped up the contents of the compost heap (still looking for a suitable, cheap composter), found a little grow tunnel in the 99p store and set it up over my watering trays, planted a few seeds that arrived in some peat seedling tray things also from the 99p store! Now I'm confused though... can I water those through the watering trays, do I have to make holes in them?

I sowed some climbing French beans, 'watermelon' radishes, garlic chives, 'Runway' rocket because that was such a runaway success and some left over seeds I was germinating in wet paper towels (I didn't like the idea of that in the end... the bleach! *gasp*).

Also hauled three grow bags from the 99p store and stuck them in a biiig container, I'm going to poke holes in the bottoms and have that as a self-watering system.

Bleaching plant labels, to both remove the writing and sterilize the labels. 29 pence spent on bleach to clean up about 500 labels always seems worth it to me. Very often I use it for cleaning up cruddy homebrew stuff first, then use for cleaning labels. Takes about a week.

I gave the front lawn it's first mowing today although it didn't really need it. I mowed it late at the end of last season and moss doesn't grow that quickly, it just spreads quickly, and with all the rain we've had this winter there's very little grass left! :doh:I've also pulled out more Montbretia and Bluebells, I think I'm fighting a losing battle! :wallbanging:
